Easy, Quick and Sweet are the best 3 words that I can describe White Buddha. It’s a fun family and pet-friendly alternative to avoid big crowds at the neighboring hike Prairie Mountain.
Larch Valley to Sentinel pass and Lake Moraine are highly sought-after attractions when visiting Canada if not one of the most beautiful places on earth. Luckily you can see all 3 in one trip.
Arguably one of the most iconic hikes of Spray Valley Provincial Park and only a two-hour drive from Calgary. This is an easy scramble with a respectable distance that includes scenic ridge views of Spray Lakes.
King’s Creek Ridge would be best described as short, sweet, steep, and scramble-free. It offers amazing summit views of the Opal Range and the Iconic views of Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes. KCR is accessible all year round as it is located on Highway 40 and Highway 742 right at the seasonal closure gate.
Winter, Summer, Fall, or Spring. West Winds Pass can do it all, this is a great year-round hike that everyone can enjoy.
Arguably Canada’s most beautiful and underrated hike of all time… Sarrail Ridge is also one of Mr. Mountain Man’s personal favorites.
Tower lake and Rockbound lake offers a steady and gradual climb towards one of Banff’s most iconic mountain ranges with a breathtaking experience. These lakes are great options to stop early if you choose not to finish any of the surrounding peaks next to Castle Mountain.
Ptarmigan Cirque is a family-friendly hike that’s located in the Highwood Pass area, it sits in between Mount Rae and Mount Arethusa. Be prepared for a short and easy hike that can be completed under 2.5 hours and if you’re lucky you can find 350 million year old fossils on this hike as well!
